Rising Red Moon Chapter 11: New Discoveries, New Alliances, and Desperate Actions

The Sun rose up from the east, the mist in the Mist Village slowly disappeared, and the sun unleashed it’s warmth upon the Earth. The hospital was the first to be hit with the rays of the sun. Inside one of the Hospital rooms, asleep in a bed, was Naruto. He turned to face the window and the bright light shined on his closed eyes. He squinted harder before waking up. He sat up, and looked outside. He could see the sun still rising and he looked back at his legs. He flashed back to the battle tat happened yesterday, he remembered on how he was so easily subdued by Kyodai, who was able to hold his own against Roxas. He remembered how Konan bombarded them with a hail of exploding notes. He never felt so helpless in his life, and it was just a few hours ago that he learned that Kyodai contained inside him a demon, and that it might be the third Legendary Demon.

Naruto closed his eyes and reached deeply into his mind to speak with Kyuubi. –I know that you are concerned about Kyodai…..but I myself know very little about his Demon- Kyuubi said right as Naruto was about to ask. –Well what do you know, - Naruto asked. –Other than he’s slaughtered hundreds for his own personal agenda, but as for his power, and skills those are unknown to me- Kyuubi answered. –That’s going to help us a lot, he’s with the Akatsuki, so that means he’s going to try and get to us, -Naruto said.

A knock on his door was heard, “Come in,” Naruto said. The door opened and Hinata walked in, she looked at Naruto and smiled. Naruto smiled back, “hi Hinata,” Naruto said. Hinata walked over and sat on his bed. She put her hands on his and leant over and kissed him on the lips, “Morning Naruto,” Hinata said. Naruto kissed her back, “So you want to go do something before we have to find Sakura, Pervy-Sage, Roxas, and Kakashi-sensei,” Naruto asked. Hinata nodded, Naruto got up, got dressed, and they both proceeded out to go get some breakfast.

At the Akatsuki hideout, Kirei woke up in the arms of Itachi. They had fallen asleep in a comfortable chair and didn’t feel like leaving each other. She smiled and gave him a nice kiss on the lips. He smiled and woke up, “Morning, my love,” Kirei said. Itachi gave a kiss back, “Morning,” he said. They began making out before getting up and exiting the room.

They walked into the main chamber where it’s usually empty save for any member of Akatsuki who would be either at each other’s throats or talking amongst each other. But this time there were a few barrels, filled with food. “How’d all this get in here?” Kirei questioned. She walked over to one of the barrels and it had a whole bunch of fruits in it. She looked over to the other barrel next to it, and inside was several bags of Ramen, of all different kinds. Itachi looked at a barrel that had a few seals on it. When he was about to open it a small anaconda slithered to the top of the barrel. “Please don’t open this one, you’ll spoil the meat,” explained the snake. Kirei turned to the snake, “Who are you, and how did all these barrels get here,” She asked. “Well, my name is Daiji, I was there when Master Kyodai, that girl and you two, both went against those Children, and old men,” Daiji said. “Master Kyodai?” Kirei said confused. “Of course, Kyodai is my master and all the snakes in the world serve him,” Daiji said talking proudly of Kyodai. “Okay…..so where did the barrels come from?’ Kirei asked. “Well when Master Kyodai wakes up he usually has a big appetite, so I transport his food to the place of where he’s living at,” Daiji said swaying his head. Kirei looked at the snake confused but walked over to her spot, where Itachi was as well. They both sat down, and waited for everyone to get into the main chamber.

In Konan’s room, Kyodai and Konan were sleeping in the same bed. Kyodai slowly opened his eyes and looked straight up at the ceiling. It had been wonderful to be able to sleep in a bed, after so long of sleeping on the grass, dirt, and etc. of the world. Thou he didn’t mind it, he would’ve preferred to sleep in a bed every once in awhile. He felt Konan move her hand, and rub her head on his chest. It had been a most interesting feeling again. To be in love again, he had fallen in love before but that was a long time ago. He looked around as he could smell the scent of food coming from somewhere. He didn’t move his head, but his eyes were going from side to side. Konan opened her eyes slowly and looked up at Kyodai.

“Morning,” Kyodai said looking at her. Konan’s eyes widened, “Morning,” She said back. Konan sat up and Kyodai inched himself up; they both looked at each other. Kyodai brought himself closer to her, and kissed her on the lips. Konan blushed and wrapped her arms around his neck not wanting him to stop. Kyodai put his hands on her waist, and kissed her more. It went on for a few minutes when a knock came from the door. Kyodai pulled away and looked at the door, “Who is it,” Konan asked. “I’m not telling you, Kyodai your needed in the main chamber,” Hidan’s voice spoke out. Kyodai and Konan both got out of bed, and proceeded to get their things together. Kyodai put all his accessories back on, and went out the door first. Konan had to get dressed in her uniform, as well as other things. The only thought that raced thru her mind was the fact the Kyodai said, “Yes,” to be with her.

Kyodai walked into the main chamber, and saw that all the Akatsuki members were in there save for Konan. He also saw the many barrels with the scent of food coming from them. “What’s wrong,” Kyodai asked Kirei across the room. “Your little pet, friend, snake put all these here,” Kirei answered. “Master Kyodai, your breakfast is ready,” Daiji said popping out from behind a barrel. “Daiji!” Kyodai yelled walking to him. “Master, all the food here is properly prepared and to your liking,” Daiji said proudly. “Daiji why’d you bring all this here,” Kyodai asked stopping in front of Daiji.  “I know that you get hungry as soon as you wake up, and all this will satisfy your stomach,” Daiji answered. “Yes but do you think that Kyodai could eat all that,” Deidara said walking to a couple of the barrels with the intent of eating some of the food. “Master Kyodai why don’t you….” Daiji said, before Kyodai covered his mouth. “Listen Daiji I can’t transform in front of them…….it just won’t be polite,” Kyodai said and lied to Daiji. “Oh I’m sorry Master, I had no idea,” Daiji said bowing his head. “I’ll teleport out of here, for a few minutes, and I’ll be taking all the barrels with me,” Kyodai as he, Daiji, and all the barrels disappeared in flames.

Konan finally walked in, she looked around to know where Kyodai was. “He’s gone out to take care of some personal business, Konan,” Kirei said. Konan looked down at the ground in disappointment; she would’ve liked to go with him. Kirei started to walk over to Itachi, whispered something in his ear before giving him a kiss, and walked down a tunnel. “Alright, so let’s begin on discussing our next move,” Tobi said. Everyone had just woke up, and wanted to eat. So they went back into their quarters, started eating breakfast.

Naruto and Hinata were walking in the streets of the Mist village, and they had already eaten their breakfast. They had some Ramen noodles, as well as some other kinds of food, that they hadn’t seen in the Leaf Village. Naruto had enjoyed the fried fish, but Hinata never really had a thing for seafood. They went onto the docks to see the vast ocean, and the mist covering it. However after a few minutes, Roxas along with Calen came up to them. “Alright you two we need to discuss things in the Mizukages’ conference chambers,” Calen said. “Yeah there are new developments, pertaining to what happened yesterday,” Roxas said. Naruto and Hinata both looked at them, and Naruto nodded his head. They all headed towards the Mizukage Building. “So what’s been going on,” Naruto asked. “It’s another Code-S alert, another Major city has been found completely destroyed, and it looks like there weren’t any survivors,” Roxas answered. Naruto and Hinata both gulped, and proceeded without asking another question.

Kyodai appeared on the shores of the lake he’d been visiting last night. The barrels appeared behind him, and Daiji appeared on top of a barrel. “This is a good spot,” Kyodai said walking into the lake. Daiji slithered off the barrel and went onto the ground a few feet away. The water started to change in different colors; for a few minutes it still changed colors until it stopped. Out of the water a Giant Black snake appeared, it’s Red eyes gleamed as red as blood, and the black slit that was it’s pupil thinned as he sun was shinning on it. Down it’s back were red runes, three connecting while the rest were scattered, and Spines were going from the back of it’s head down into the water where the rest the snake was. Pointy jagged horns were on the back end of the top of it’s head, and it looked down at Daiji who was in awe of this creature.

“Oh……Master Kyodai you….you….look so wonderful when transformed,” Daiji said to the transformed Kyodai. “Yeah, well I thank you for your compliment, but you ever try to expose me to others again, I’ll eat you,” Kyodai spoke in rather a deep demonic voice. “Oh….of course Master, I’m sorry,” Daiji said bowing his head. Kyodai turned to the barrels and opened up one of them, bit on the top, lifted the barrel in the air and all the food was dumped into his mouth. Kyodai threw the barrel aside and swallowed all the food in his mouth. He started going thru barrel after barrel, and as Kyodai was about to finish about half the entire set of barrels, he looked at the woods, and his eyes squinted. He slowly slithered to the edge of the woods, chomped down on a tree and ripped it from the ground, throwing it deeper in the woods. He looked won at where the tree once was and Kirei was standing about a few feet away from him. Kyodai after seeing Kirei turned back to the food.

“So is this your full demon form,” Kirei asked walking over towards Kyodai. “Yes this is it,” Kyodai answered in the demonic voice, before he started eating again. “Aren’t you worried that I or the others attack you,” Kirei asked sitting on top of an empty closed barrel. “I’m more intelligent than that, I’ve always got a plan for such things, and I know you wouldn’t attack me,” Kyodai said. “Your too trusting Kyodai, how are you maintaining alliances if you trust people with secrets like that,” Kirei said. “My allies don’t care for such things, save for a few,” Kyodai said looking down at her. “And who are these allies that your saying don’t care for the fact you’re a demon,” Kirei asked. “Even I won’t reveal them,” Kyodai said, finishing the final barrel of food. “Guess I was wrong, you are careful about trusting others,” Kirei said. Kyodai quickly looked back at the woods, and ducked down into the water, submerging his entire body. Kirei looked confused, looked back at the woods, and saw the other Akatsuki members walking out of the woods.

They stopped and saw the numerous empty barrels that Kyodai took with him, “What happened here,” Kisame asked. “Well I guess Kyodai was here,” Deidara said looking into one of the barrels. “How did he eat so much,” Tobi asked. Zetsu, Hidan, Pein, and Konan all stood in the middle of the barrel filled area. Itachi walked over to Kirei, and stood next to her. Kirei wondered how Kyodai was going to pull off getting away with transforming without getting caught. A goopy splash was heard from inside the woods, and Hidan looked over to where it came from. From out behind a log a blood covered hand pulled up a body. Hidan smiled with joy –blood….blood for Jashin- he said preparing to slay the person. The person pulled himself completely over the log, “I hate it when I screw up a landing,” Kyodai’s voice came from the person. Everyone immediately turned to the person, Kirei looked more confused, however. “Why is everyone staring at me,” Kyodai asked. “Maybe it has something to do with the fact that your covered in blood,” Kisame said. Kyodai looked on himself, “Oh well, I’ll get cleaned up, as soon as I can,” Kyodai said.

Naruto, Hinata, Roxas, and Calen all entered the Conference room. Inside were Kakashi, Jiraiya, Sakura, and The Mizukage himself. “Welcome, please sit down,” Said the Mizukage. Everyone sat down, and the Mizukage stood up holding some documents. “The Situation has worsened, it was heavily rumored that a large city: Daichi Tokai was completely destroyed, and that there weren’t any survivors,” the Mizukage said sitting down. Calen looked up, “Daichi Tokai…..no….my Father was there,” She said crying. “But that’s not the worst of it, there were survivors,” He said. Everyone looked at the Mizukage with enlightenment. Calen was wiping her tears with excitement. “Can at least now know what happened that night when the city was wiped out,” The Mizukage said. Just then a Mist Ninja came barging in with a video tape in hand. He ran up to the Mizukage and whispered something into his ear. His face grew grim, “Play it,” he said turning to the TV behind him. “We just found this outside the building pay attention to the time,” The Ninja said putting the tape into the VCR.

On the screen there was a Village in the open, it had tents set up, and Ninja patrolling the area. “That’s the refugee camp,” Calen said. As they watched the video, and Giant fiery explosion was seen engulfing a large area of the camp in flames. Everyone in the video scrambled, to either try and get away or put out the flames. Just then Kyodai appeared, and started slaying the people. Another Kyodai appeared and started blowing parts of the camp away more and more Kyodais appeared and just began destroying, and killing. “It’s a massacre,” Jiraiya said shocked at what he was seeing. Calen looked on, while the rest of the people just watched horrified at the slaughter. “Are they clones,” Naruto asked. “Yes, but they’re Skin clones,” Calen said looking away. “Skin Clones,” Roxas said confused. “It’s a technique that Kyodai created for himself, you see his demon allows him to shed his skin whenever he wants, he leaves the skin in a place where He’ll easily know where it is, and if need be he can transfer his soul from his original body to one of the skins, It’s even rumored that when he does this the Skin he takes one, creates organs, blood vessels, and everything else his original body had, I’ve ever heard from various other ninja who examined the remains of a skin clone that this technique gives Kyodai immortality so long as he has skins to use,” Calen explained.

The ninja paused the tape, “look at the time of the attack.” Everyone looked at the time, and it said 2:46 pm. Naruto, Sakura, Jiraiya, Kakashi, Roxas and Hinata were all shocked at this. “That’s the exact time it was when we fought Kirei, Kyodai, Itachi and Konan,” Jiraiya said. “So Kyodai’s making several moves at once,” Calen said. “This game of his, what is he after,” Roxas asked. “He’s not after Naruto, other wise he would’ve done so already,” Jiraiya said. The Ninja continued playing the video, hoping to see something. “He may want something else and he may be using the Akatsuki to get to it,” Kakashi said. The Ninja fast forwarded until it was at night where the attack stopped, and it seemed as thou there wasn’t much of a fight left until something caught his eye. “Wait a minute,” he said. Everyone looked at the TV. The Ninja zoomed in at one of the Kyodai’s and saw that a Red rune crawled and connected to the three other runes. “What the….what does that mean,” Sakura said. “It means he’s growing in power,” Calen said. Everyone had their heads down, with the one question that they wanted to know –How is Kyodai getting more powerful?-

Kyodai stood infront of the Akatsuki, and wiped the blood off him. “So what is it we should do,” Tobi asked. “We should focus on getting the final piece we need, Naruto,” Kirei said. “Well how do we do that when we have no idea where he is right now,” Kisame said. “Well we need to start somewhere,” Hidan added. “We may need to go into groups to find him, instead of pairs, with the current situation as it is,” Itachi suggested. “The odds are against us, but it’s nothing we can’t handle,” Zetsu said. “He maybe right,” Deidara said backing Zetsu. “Hmmm, well we are superior shinobi, we can handle anything they’ll throw at us,” Sasori said.

“But the situation has worsened,” Kyodai said. ‘What do you mean,” Konan asked Kyodai. “By now, word of my involvement with you guys has reached all the Shinobi villages, and they’ll have all their ninja at their disposal to either fight you or along side you,” Kyodai said. “Why are you saying us, when you’re involved Kyodai, your not going into hiding again, your with us till the end of this,” Kirei said. “You are correct but I have been involved in situations like this before, and have taken the necessary steps to ensuring little questioning as possible among those villages,” Kyodai said. “What, when did you do this,” Kirei asked walking towards Kyodai, with Konan following. “The day when I confronted Naruto, for the first time in many months,” Kyodai said smiling.

“And let’s just say that things didn’t go according to what I originally hoped for,” Kyodai’s voice was heard from behind everyone. They all looked over and there Kyodai was climbing out of the lake, drenched. “You’ve done well clone, now return to you place of rest,” he said to the clone Kirei was talking to. The Clone bowed his head and jumped into the woods, never to be seen. “What do you mean, what’d you do,” Itachi asked. “As of this day, the Five Great Shinobi Villages, as well as certain smaller villages, are going to unite against you all and me,” Kyodai said. “The first time in many years, this has happened,” Kyodai happened.

Everyone seemed unfazed, but their silence was enough to show that they were unsure about the situation. “Well it seems the Odds are really stacked against us now,” Kisame said looking up at the sky. “What of the other villages,” Kirei asked. “They haven’t decided yet, thou I’m surprised that the Rain Village has agreed to help The Five Great Shinobi Lands,” Kyodai said. Pein, Konan, and Hidan’s eyes all widened. –But I thought the Rain Village was on our side- Pein thought to himself. “This is bad,” Konan said. “Yeah, oh and Pein,” Kyodai said looking at him. Pein looked at Kyodai, “What,” he asked. “The Rebellions were put down, you lost,” Kyodai said. “We can’t stay here, we’ll get discovered,” Kirei said.

“We don’t have time, some of your subordinates had given up and revealed locations to most of the Hideouts, They’re already on their way here,” Kyodai said. “What!” Kirei yelled. “Get down!” Kyodai yelled as he threw a hail of Kunai into the woods. A Few screams were heard, and Ninja fell to the ground dead. “We’ve got to get to one of my hideouts,” Kyodai said. “Alright, Kyodai we’ll follow you,” Kirei said. “Here’s the map to where to find it, I’ll stay here and hold them off until you are all safely away,” Kyodai said handing Kirei a map. “”Alright everyone let’s go,” Kirei said ordering everyone to follow her. They all followed Kirei except for Konan who stayed with Kyodai staring at him. “Get going Konan, you must get to the hideout fast,” Kyodai said. Konan ran to him and held him, “I won’t leave you,” She said. “You have to go, now,” Kyodai said holding her arms. “But Kyodai..” Konan said sadly. “Listen, I’m doing this, not just because Kirei’s my friend…..it’s because I LOVE YOU,” Kyodai said kissing Konan on the lips. Konan’s eyes widened, and she let go, and followed the others as fast as she could. She looked back at Kyodai –I love you too, Kyodai,- she said to herself. Kirei turned her head back –make it thru this, Kyodai, I’d hate to see you die- She thought to herself.

The Ninja shot out into the open and Kyodai threw several kunais and Shurikens at them. Most f them who were hit fell to the ground dead. They all surrounded Kyodai, they were Ninja from various nearby Villages: Leaf, Rain, Grass, and Sand. Kyodai made a handsign and a Large Pillar of Fire sucked in all the Ninja and scorched them all. More ninja jumped into the clearing, and charged at Kyodai. Kyodai closed his eyes, and when he opened them there was Lightning streaks in his eyes. To him the Ninja now were moving slower than usual. He drew his Dai-katana, and proceeded to hack at the ninja who were coming at him. They screamed before falling to their deaths, and Kyodai jumped into the air, and made a few handsigns. The Ninja went at Kyodai, but to them he was moving way to fast. Kyodai finished the seals –Earth Style: Pit of Death Jutsu- and a large opening appeared in the ground and at the bottom were several spikes. Some of the Ninja fell into the pit, to be killed. Kyodai landed on the ground, and went out of Lightning mode, to prevent his Chakra from draining. –Water Style: Great Tsunami Strike- Kyodai made some hand signs and a tsunami appeared from behind  Kyodai from the lake and it wiped out the most of what remained of the ninja. They didn’t give up, so they surrounded Kyodai, all charged in at him. When Kyodai was about to us another Jutsu a sharp pain pierced his right side. He looked to his right and there Standing right next to him with a sword thru Kyodai’s side was his brother Maki Kaki-Saga.

“Long time, no see Bro,” Maki said smiling. “ I killed you,” Kyodai said shocked to see him.. “Well you know how hard it is to kill me, and Mother and Father are alive as well” Maki said pulling out his sword and attempting to slash at Kyodai again. But before he could, Kyodai reactivated his Lighting mode, and kicked Maki into a tree. Just then a hail of Kunai, Shuriken, and Senbom all struck Kyodai’s body. –Damn, I was careless- they pierced his legs so he had little maneuverability. They all moved closer to Kyodai and Maki walked a little closer to Kyodai, “this is where we end you, brother,” Maki said. Kyodai attempted to get up when he felt a stinging sensation in his back, and he felt a slight breeze go past him, -Wow another element has come back, Those seals are failing fast now,- Kyodai said as he made one last hand sign. –Wind Style: Razor Tornado- he thought and a large tornado appeared around Kyodai, and sucked in all, and killed all but Maki whose legs were all sliced up.

“Kyodai….you…won’t get….away….We’ll find….you,” Maki said. Kyodai pulled out the senbom, “Well you’ll have to ensure that you bring plenty more ninja to weaken me,” Kyodai said. “Bye Maki, tell Mom, Dad, and Calen, I said hi,” Kyodai said as he was sinking into the ground. He had disappeared, and Mai got up and looked up at the sky. The Sun was Bright red, and was slowly going back to the yellowish color it usually was.

At Kyodai’s Hideout the Akatsuki members were all looking around to see what Kyodai had in this place. The Hideout was an abandoned Sound Hideout, but it was still intact. It had plenty of stockpiles of food, and plenty of bedrooms. They all wondered where Kyodai was, he had sacrificed himself to help them out and wondered if their friend was alright. Konan was having a difficult time, she wondered heavily about Kyodai, they had only expressed something very deep to each other. She wondered if it had been his last words to him or not. Then as Konan walked into a rather large bedroom, something was coming out of the ground infront of her.

A few moments later and the entire body came out and it was Kyodai. Konan immediately ran at him and hugged him. She felt a liquid all over Kyodai, and he grunted in pain when she did this, she looked at her hands and they were covered in blood. “Kyodai!” She screamed. Everyone came in and saw Kyodai. “Oh…Kyodai you alright, hm” Deidara said walking to him. “My Brother, Mother and Father…..are alive,” Kyodai said with blood dripping down his face. “Who’s your brother,” Kirei asked. “Maki….Maki Kaki-Saga,” Kyodai answered. “Do you need any help,” Konan asked. Kyodai walked over to a cabinet and in it were several jars containing a yellowish liquid. “I’ll be alright you all get some rest and wait here for a bit until I recover,” Kyodai said applying the liquid to his wounds.

Everyone left except for Konan, and she only stared at Kyodai. “What?” Kyodai asked, as he wiped the blood off his body. “Back there, when you said….did you really mean it,” Konan asked. “I did,” Kyodai answered. Konan walked over to Kyodai and kissed him. “I love you too,” She said smiling and holding Kyodai close to her. Kyodai held her close as well. –Maki, Mom, Dad…I thought I killed you, but it seems you are more slippery than I thought; well you leave me no choice, I’m going thru with one of my contingency plans, Naruto Uzumaki I will get you- Kyodai thought to himself as he and Konan went onto the bed and fell asleep together.
