Rising Red Moon Chapter 12: The Kaki-Saga Plan, and Kyodai’s True Identity

At Kyodai’s Hideout all was quiet; Zetsu had gone out and kept watch over the area to ensure they hadn’t been followed. Everyone else had rested, and there was a silence that had befallen the place. Kyodai was asleep with Konan by his side. He began to dream, but it wasn’t a regular dream. He was surrounded by Calen, Maki, his father and Mother. “Kyodai, surrender yourself, or we’ll force you to be hated amongst your friends and allies,” His Father said. “How…..you can’t do anything to stop me,” Kyodai asked. “We can reveal everything about you; even what’s in your heart, or should I say what you are,” Calen smiled. “And how do you suppose your going to do that, my friends won’t believe you,” Kyodai countered. “oh it won’t be us who’s going to tell them, it’ll be the Seals,” his mother said. Kyodai’s eyes widened but before he could say a word he woke up.

Kyodai sat up in the bed, he looked to his side. Konan slept soundly, and Kyodai quietly got out of bed and walked to the door. – The Seals will tell them, What did they mean by that- Kyodai thought to himself. “Where are you going,” Konan voice said to Kyodai. He looked behind himself and saw Konan push herself up. “Going outside why,” Kyodai asked. “Aren’t you worried that you might get discovered,” Konan asked getting off the bed. “No, I’m not worried at all,” Kyodai answered. Konan walked over to Kyodai and held his arm. “May I come with you,” Konan asked. Kyodai looked at her, “Sure,” he answered. He and Konan walked out of the room and proceeded to walk towards the door to the outside.

At the Mist Village Naruto and Hinata were walking down a street looking at all the different things the village had to offer. Of course to Naruto there wasn’t much to look at because he preferred to be in the Leaf Village, but he was with Hinata which made everything better for him. However it was quite different for Hinata, she like the scenery of the Mist Village, the surrounding oceans showed a peaceful sense for the Village; of course being with Naruto was a great thing for her as well. As they walked Calen walked by with some guy that was unknown to them. “Naruto, Hinata, hey what are you two up too,” She asked. “just walking around absorbing the scenery,” Hinata said. “Oh by the way this is my Brother, Maki,” Calen said pointing to him. “Pleased to meet  you Naruto, Hinata,” Maki said smiling. “Thank you,” Naruto said. Calen and Maki walked on, but Maki turned around and looked at Naruto and Hinata. “Hey you want to help us out with something you two,” Maki asked. Calen looked at Maki, in shock at first and then smiled. Naruto and Hinata looked at each other, and they both nodded. “Alright come with us,” Maki said. They all walked to the Mizukage building, and Maki and Calen both smiled.

Kyodai and Konan both exited out of the Hideout and they saw that all the other Akatsukis were out as well. “Morning you two,” Kirei said. She was in Itachi’s arms; while all the other Akatsuki members were scattered in a general circle. “Morning,” Kyodai said in reply. “So what’s going on,” Konan asked walking forward. “Well we should be discussing on how the current situation will affect our future missions,” Tobi said. “Correct, we should while we have the time,” Kirei said. “Naruto, as far as we know, is still in the Mist Village, and possibly out of our reach until he moves away,” Deidara said. “How are we supposed to retrieve him when he’s possibly going to be under the protection of not only the Leaf, but the Entire Great Shinobi Villages,” Kisame said in a rather annoyed voice. “Well for starters we could wait until he makes a move away from a major village,” Kirei said. Kyodai was silent, he felt as thou that he should make his input when the need was necessary. He continued listening while his mind drifted to thinking about the future.

“In here,” Maki said opening a door into the Basement of the Mizukage building. “Why are we here,” Naruto asked as he and Hinata entered at the same time. Calen closed the door behind them. “You see we need to weaken Kyodai if we have a chance of defeating him,” Maki said. “If we accomplish that then he Akatsuki will fall in line, then everyone is safe from them…..even from Kirei,” Calen added. “So what does that have to do with us,” Naruto said. Then the door opened up and Kakashi, Roxas, Jiraiya and Sakura both entered. “Why have you requested that we be here, Maki,” Jiraiya asked. “Simple, I want to stop my brother before he makes his move, and you want the same thing right,” Maki asked. They all nodded. “Okay then, I have an idea that’ll ensure that Kyodai is no longer a threat,” He said with confidence. “A plan, then tell us,” Sakura said. “Hold on, I have to tell you something first,” Maki said.

“First of all we’re going to kill Kyodai from the inside of his body, how are we going to do this, I’ll explain,” Maki said. “Wait, What!” Roxas yelled as he heard this. “Lord Raikage, I know that Kyodai is your friend and all, but if he isn’t stopped then all hope will be lost,” Maki said trying to convince Roxas. “I know we have t stop Kirei and Kyodai...but there must be another way,” Roxas said. “I’m sorry but there is none,” Maki said. “Trust us, we don’t want to do any more than you do, but if we don’t then he’ll have the power to end us all,” Calen said. Roxas looked down at the ground, saddened at the fact of what was to transpire. Everyone looked at him waiting to hear what he had to say. “Okay, Kyodai has several seals on his chest, and they are connecting on certain days and times, and if they all connect, he’ll achieve power greater than that of all the kages,” Maki said. “So all we have to do is break all the seals at once and his body will be destroyed due to the severe amounts of chakra that’ll be released,” He went on. “So how do we do this,” Kakashi asked.

Maki pulled out from his back a large scroll, and placed it on the table. “This scroll contains the releasing technique of the Grand Seals, the same seals on Kyodai,” Maki said opening it up. “How do we use it,” Sakura asked. “Simple we use a portion of The Kyuubi’s Chakra, a Kekkai Genkai, The Blood of Two Kaki-Sagas, Medical Ninjutsu, as well as Fire, Wind and Lightning element attacks,” Maki explained. “So that’s everyone in this room,” Hinata pointed out. “Yes, so everyone get ready and placed your palms on the markings,” Maki said as Calen and him slice a cut in their palms and placed them on two markings. Naruto used Kyuubi’s Chakra –boy, I hope that they are right- Kyuubi said as he gave Naruto some of his chakra, and placed his hand on a marking. Sakura used her medical jutsu and placed her hand on a marking. Hinata used her Byakugan’s Gentle Fist Technique on another marking. Kakashi used his Lightning, Jiraiya used Fire, and Roxas used wind, and placed their hands on different markings.

The markings began to Grow Bright Red, and the spiraled faster and faster until they shot up and went thru the door. “What’s it doing now,” Sakura asked. “It’ll find Kyodai and release the Grand Seals,” Maki answered. “So we’re done here,” Roxas asked disgusted in the fact that he had just part took in the killing of his friend. “Yes, you may leave now,” Maki said. They all left Calen and Maki alone, and when they closed the door Maki and Calen smiled. “So we are one step closer, to achieving our rightful place in the world,” Calen said. “Yes, Kyodai was one of the obstacles to our families progress to conquest,” Maki said. “Now all that’s left is the Akatsuki, and All the Great Shinobi Villages, which will be infiltrated by our family when Kyodai’s death is heard,” Calen said. “Now all we can do is wait,” Maki said.

“Okay so we’ll head to the Mist Village, and ask around if Naruto has left the Village or is still there,” Itachi said. The Akatsukis all agreed upon this, and Kyodai opened his eyes when he heard this. “Kyodai will you come with us,” Kirei asked. Kyodai looked up at Kirei and saw behind her coming down fast was the seal release. Kyodai’s eyes widened as he was about to open his mouth the release seals surrounded him instantly. “What the…….What are those,” Deidara asked. “RUN!!!!” Kyodai yelled. Just then The Seals started swirling around him, and Red energy shot at him from all directions. Kyodai screamed in pain, and everyone slowly back away from him. Konan looked at Kyodai slowly getting frightened for him. From their point of view Kyodai shirt was incinerated and the Seals on him were ripped one by one from his body and disappeared. “KYODAI!” Konan yelled. Just then they all felt an upsurge of Chakra emanate from his body, and it pushed them all back.

The Chakra was increasing more and more; Kyodai continued screaming in extreme pain. The Chakra began changing most of it was converting into something else as it glowed different colors. The Red Release Seals than disappeared, and the chakra around Kyodai disappeared. He was still barely standing, and then fell to the ground. Konan rushed over to him she caught him. Kirei ran with her, and Konan let Kyodai down on the ground. Kirei knelt down beside Kyodai, she placed her hand on Kyodai’s chest, and green chakra appeared on her hand. She used her medical jutsu to examine his insides. –Kyodai, your not dying on us- Kirei said to herself. She felt no life, what’s so ever. Kirei closed her eyes, “He has no…..heart beat, Kyodai…… has died,” Kirei said. Everyone widened their eyes, they didn’t expect this to happen. Konan however closed her eyes as a tear streaked down her face. Kirei was about to take her hand off when she felt his heart pump. “Wait…hold on,” she said. His heart increased and blood began flowing again. His breathing returned, but then a voice was heard in Kirei’s head –So the Real Kyodai is born.- -What do you mean, Suzaku- Kirei spoke to the voice. –Oh Kirei you may want to back away for this one- Suzaku said.

Kirei didn’t listen to Suzaku, and continued to see Kyodai’s body come back to life, however she then felt something different about him. He was changing, his chakra network changed and everything else in his body changed as well. Kirei jumped up, “Back away,” Kirei ordered and everyone jumped back. Just as they did so Kyodai sat up and a surge of chakra shot out from him. He slowly got up and as he did he’s body became engulfed in purple chakra. “What is this,” Hidan asked. “I don’t know,” Kirei answered. Kyodai’s chakra body began to have 12 chakra tails pop out. “He’s a Jinchuuriki,” Kisame said in astonishment. Kyodai stood up and he opened his eyes and his eyes changed. They became Bright Red with a Black slit for a pupil was there. The Chakra body then sprouted two horns. Kyodai stood up, and Laughed in a demonic voice. “They thought to kill me, HA! I look forward to seeing their faces when they realize that I’m still alive,” Kyodai said.

“Kyodai is that you,” Kirei yelled. –I told you that, he’s the new and improved Kyodai- “Yes, Kirei to answer your question,” Kyodai answered. They all looked at Kyodai, and some of them prepared for a fight. Konan however backed away, she didn’t know what to do. Kyodai smiled revealing two very long fangs, “I’m going to The Mist Village, to find Naruto, you may join me, but that’s your choice,” Kyodai said as he was slowly sinking into the Earth. No one moved, and Kyodai disappeared completely. They all sighed and were relaxed. “Alright so much for our ally, Kyodai,” Kisame said. “Shut up, Kyodai is a friend if he wasn’t then he would’ve attack us,” Kirei said in a defensive mood. There was a laugh in Kirei’s head –you shut up too- she said to Suzaku. –Foolish girl, I’m laughing at those who chose to release his power, they’re all going to die- Suzaku said. –How would you about know that- Kirei said. –Cause Kyodai, or rather his demon, is like a brother to me, as Haou is as well- Suzaku answered. –Wait then that means…….he’s the third Legendary Demon- Kirei said in astonishment. Suzaku just laughed.

Kyodai some miles away appeared out of the ground in the middle of a field surround by Lavender colored flowers. A figured landed behind him, “Well that was a nice display of things,” the figure said. “I didn’t expect our enemies to use the Grand Seal Release,” Kyodai said. “I guess we both under estimated them, Kyodai,” The figure said. “It’s something we can both retaliate to, but for the battle that is to come now, you’ll need to either expose yourself as my ally or continue hiding amongst your allies until the day when we destroy the Old Kaki-Saga Family,…….Tobi,” Kyodai said looking at the figure. Stepped into the light was Tobi, and he looked at Kyodai. “Well I suppose that I should stay with he Akatsuki for a while, at least until our plans are at the point where they have no chance at winning,” Tobi said. “Very well then, thou I’m going to rely on you to keep my good standing with me and the Akatsuki, I know Kirei will do that, but I need as many people to help with that as possible,” Kyodai asked Tobi. “It shall be done,” Tobi said running as fast as he could back to where all the Akatsukis were. Kyodai then started sinking back into the Earth.

Roxas sat on top of the roof of a tower that was centered in the Mist Village. From his point of view he could see the entire Mist Village. He still felt disgusted that he had partaken in the killing of his friend Kyodai, and wondered if Kyodai was the real enemy. He remembered something Kyodai once said to him. –Fear, Doubt and anger can cause people to do drastic things, Roxas don’t let these emotions get a hold of you…ever.- Kyodai said this to him one week before he disappeared. –Kyodai, why did you want to help out Kirei and the Akatsuki, was it out of Kirei’s friendship to you, or was it something else that drove you to it- Roxas asked himself. –I always found that one to be a most interesting creature, he never showed fear, nor was sickened by my behavior when we last met- said a dark voice in Roxas’s head. –Yeah….well Kyodai was always one to impress people…..wait Haou you and Kyodai have met before- Roxas asked the Voice in his head. –Yes, I’ve met Kyodai, three weeks ago in fact, he spoke to me about a plan he was forging, that would involve a great battle but nothing else - Haou said. –he didn’t say any more- Roxas asked Haou curiously. –No- Haou answered. Roxas was finished speaking with Haou, Kyodai was probably dead by now, and was possibly one of the gravest things he’d ever done.

Naruto, Hinata and Sakura all walked outside the Village gates, and headed for the coastline. They had been silent ever since leaving the Mizukage building. They like Roxas didn’t feel right about what they had done. “It just doesn’t feel right, I mean, Kyodai was an enemy, but do enemies deserve to die in such a way,” Sakura asked. “I know, I didn’t like it one bit myself, but I felt the need to cause Kyodai would’ve been an impossible opponent to defeat,” Naruto said looking down at the ground. Hinata didn’t say a word; her silence was her way of saying sorry to Kyodai, for killing him.

They arrived at the beach and watched as the sun was setting. The stars began to slowly appear, and the moon started to rise as well. It at least showed that there was something peaceful going on. Naruto laid back on the soft dirt, Hinata laid her head on top of him, and Sakura just sat down with her legs stretched out. She imagined that if Sasuke was around that she’d lay on him. The thought entered her mind and she fell into a trance. She remembered the times when it was just her, Sasuke, Naruto, and Kakashi. She was happy being in the same squad with them. The sun finally set and the sky grew dark, filled with stars, and the Moon was rising more into the night. Naruto looked over to his right and saw that several blue flowers were blooming, and they started glowing Bright Blue. Naruto smiled at them, and Hinata smiled at them when she saw them. Sakura continued got up and walked over to the flowers; she looked down at them. More and More glowing flowers bloomed, all different colors, and it was a most beautiful sight.

“Beautiful aren’t they,” a voice said to them. They didn’t look to see who it was; they were to busy staring at such beauty. “Yes they sure are,” Sakura replied. “They are very pretty,” Naruto said. “You may pick some of them if you want to,” The voice said. Sakura picked a Pink, and Blue Flower, Pink to represent her, and Blue for Sasuke. Naruto picked an Orange for himself, and a lavender colored one for Hinata. “Such beauty soothing a relaxing in this world,” Said the voice. “Yeah it is,” Hinata answered holding a Lavender and Orange glowing flower. Hinata turned to face the person speaking, she went from happy to frightened, and she was about to le go of the flowers, but held on to them quickly. The person speaking was Kyodai, who stood on the beach smiling, he wasn’t cloaked in chakra, and Hinata was scared that he was alive. Naruto and Sakura turned to face him smiling then suddenly became afraid.

“I see you haven’t forgotten me,” Kyodai said in a straight face. “But……I thought the release seals were suppose to kill you,” Naruto said hesitantly. “Did you honestly think Id let myself get killed off so easily, that release technique would’ve work a few months ago when the seals held more chakra then they did when you did it,” Kyodai said. He walked over to them and stopped a few feet in front of them. They could’ve made a run for it, but they all felt that it was futile to run from Kyodai. “What do you want,” Sakura asked Kyodai. “Hmm….I thought that if I capture Naruto and use him for my own purposes I’d be able to quicken a certain event, but seeing you three, finding beauty in such things, I’ve changed my mind,” Kyodai answered. They were all speechless. “I can tell from your silence that your confused, well I won’t be able to explain much to you, thou….”

Kyodai about to say something; just then Roxas appeared in a puff of smoke front of him. “Kyodai…..your alive,” Roxas said in shock. Roxas was sort of happy that Kyodai was alive, but wondered why didn’t start fighting. “Listen, all of you, your in danger here,” Kyodai said. “What do you mean in danger, we’re in danger by you,” Naruto said. “Roxas you know of my ways, in terms of alliances and such, I’m never really one to take a full side,” Kyodai said. Roxas nodded, “That is true about you, so why are you warning us now,” he asked. “The Kaki-Saga family is the true threat right now, they plan to do some terrible things, that I can’t reveal right away,” Kyodai said. “Why can’t you,” Roxas asked. “Cause knowing you, you’d probably confront Calen and Maki about this, and the Family would have to go back into hiding again, it took me months to be able to get them out of hiding,” Kyodai said. “So that’s why you disappeared,” Naruto said. Kyodai nodded, “What I want you guys to do is to head for the Snow Village, and stay there until I give the signal, Princess Fujikaze is a good friend of mine, and Naruto’s, she’ll understand in me sending you there,” Kyodai said. Before anyone could say anything else Kyodai sank into the ground and disappeared. “Alright pack your things we’re leaving in the morning,” Roxas ordered Naruto, Hinata, and Sakura. They all went to their apartment buildings and began to pack. Roxas told Jiraiya and Kakashi the news and they began packing as well.

Tobi was patrolling the area outside the hideout when Kyodai appeared out of the ground. “So how’d it go, Tobi,” Kyodai asked. “Well let’s say that, Kirei did most of the work, of convincing them you’re an ally, all I did was say that I like you, when she asked for a vote,” Tobi answered. “So am I going to sleep soundly or not,” Kyodai asked. “You may need to sleep out here tonight, sorry, but Kirei was on the verge of exploding when she tried to get them to consider you an ally, she may even try to rip your head off for ditching us, when she could’ve used your help and defending yourself,” Tobi said. “…The same Kirei I know so well,” Kyodai laughed. “Oh well, it doesn’t really matter where I sleep any way, I’ve been meaning to test out my new abilities anyway,” kyodai said walking of into the woods; Leaving Tobi to his patrolling.

Kyodai left the woods where a river was rushing by, and a small rocky island was centered in the middle of the current. Kyodai jumped on to the small island and began focusing his chakra. The small rocky island, slowly had grass growing in it, and in the grass glowing flowers bloomed on it. The river slowed to calm, and small shinning water droplets flew over Kyodai. The area around the island grew warmer, and a slight breeze brushed the grass causing it wave. Kyodai opened his eyes to see the sight he had created for his own entertainment. He felt at peace when he saw his work- I love being what I am- he thought to himself. He felt a presence over in the woods, and looked over to where it was. It was Konan, she stared at Kyodai, and glimpsed at his work. “It’s…..very …..Beautiful, Kyodai,” she said. “Thank you,” Kyodai replied. Konan walked over to the shore, “are you the same,” she asked. “Same what,” Kyodai asked. “The same Kyodai you were, before what happened earlier,” she asked. “I feel the same, if that’s what your asking,” Kyodai said. “Then you’re the same Kyodai……I love,” she asked. “Yes,” Kyodai answered. Konan jumped onto the small island and wrapped her arms around Kyodai, and kis4sed him. Kyodai put his arms around her and kissed her back. She pulled her face away and leaned her head against him, and closed her eyes. Kyodai looked around and then at Konan. A small red mist formed at the surface of the water. –I guess what Kirei said was true after all, we demons are assumed to be destructive, but we can find love if we try hard enough. - Those words raced in his head, and he and Konan fell asleep together in each others arms.
